We inadvertently removed some needed files from our company...
We inadvertently removed some needed files from our company flagship website several months ago. Even though Scalesta performs daily backups, the oldest backup that was available was not old enough. We found a very old version of our website in our files and replaced the needed files from that. However, these files were valid when we were with another hosting company several years ago, so the website wouldn’t connect with the database. The Scalesta team made the necessary changes and our website is back up and running optionally. Thanks guys and gals!

Change DNS
DNS records are updated with new ones (this may take up to 24 hours). During this time period traffics redirected from the new server to the old one.

Access Information
We send data for accessing the server and detailed information on the operation of our services. Migration completed.

Final migration
We stop traffic redirection, close the store, synchronize databases and files and reopen the store. A short time lag for which the store is closed depends on the size of the database and the type of access we can get from the old server.

How long is the free website migration?
Our migration process is designed to be seamless and virtually unnoticeable for the client. Typically, any delay occurs only during the final steps, lasting just 2-5 minutes. For the rest of the process, you likely won't even notice the transition happening.
How long will my sites be unavailable?
It all depends on the needs of your site. For beginners and small sites, we recommend VPS hosting. For those who need more control and flexibility, we recommend cloud or custom hosting is likely a better option. Read more in our blog or contact our Custom Care team.
Is it possible to grant you access to my site and you will do everything without my assistance?
Yes, you can give us SSH access to your original hosting service, and we will migrate your files and database to the new hosting service. SSH access is the most suitable for migration. It allows us to evaluate and carry out the web migration service as quickly as possible. FTP access is much slower, the store will be closed for a longer time, especially if large sites have to be synchronized. If you use WHM/cPanel/Plesk/etc., please let us know and we will find the best solution.
What sites can be migrated to Scalesta hosting?
We migrate only sites written in PHP with MySQL support - CS-Cart, PrestaShop, WordPress/WooCommerce, Magento and other CMS on request. We do not migrate websites to Windows hosting.
I have several projects. Can you move all of them?
We do not limit the number of projects on the server. However, the disk space size imposes restrictions. We can increase it at your request.
Besides, if some of your projects have a security issue, this may affect the security of other projects (usually this applies to older versions of software without security patches). If you have any questions or concerns regarding the safety of your projects, please feel free to contact us. In this case, we recommend that you have separate servers.

Are there any restrictions during the transfer of a project?
During the transfer of the site to another hosting it cannot be edited. Otherwise, it will be transferred with errors, and the changes made at the time of transfer will be absent on both the source and target hosting.
